AfricaMeteo is operated by the African Union Meteorological Agency as a public information service. We do not require accounts and do not sell personal data. Location, when used for the "near me" feature, is processed in your browser to identify the nearest capital and is never stored on our servers. Aggregate, non-identifying traffic statistics are kept only to maintain service reliability.
Forecast and historical data are provided as a public good for information and planning. While the Agency applies rigorous quality control, weather is inherently uncertain and forecasts may change. Data must not be used as the sole basis for life-safety decisions in lieu of official national warnings. Content may be reused with attribution to the African Union Meteorological Agency.
AfricaMeteo is built to be usable by everyone. The interface targets WCAG 2.1 AA contrast, supports keyboard navigation, scales with browser text size, and is available in English, French, Arabic, Portuguese and Swahili, with full right-to-left layout for Arabic.
